I’m not gonna lie, this outfit made me feel pretty damn sassy. World you can’t stop me, I have my sass pants well & truly on with this one. Whilst a white dress with pink flowers is usually way out of my comfort zone, this Quiz dress made me reconsider. I think it’s because of the shape of it along with the ever-so-popular choker style neckline which we are seeing everywhere at the moment. Not that I’m complaining, it’s a look that I absolutely adore and quite frankly it kinda hides me three chins. Whatchaaa gonna do about that, huh?
So as I do my sassy, classy, a little bit bad-assy strut across the road, you do catch a slight glimpse of my triple chin, but that’s okay because the dress absolutely steals it. It makes me feel a lil girly, too. I regularly teeter on the line of looking a little boyish and then suddenly looking feminine so I was happy to embrace this side of the style spectrum. I thinking adding the black blazer just, ever so slightly, adds that androgynous feel to it, too.
With it being occasion season it is the perfect excuse to dress up and try new styles and dresses, whether it be for a wedding or the races, Quiz has a vast range of dresses to suit. Don’t get me wrong some styles are not quite “me” as it were, however, this one really caught my eye. Except my first question was “does it come in black?” (Girl acting like she’s Wednesday Addams or something!) The soft pink and cream make it quite an easy dress to style. Adding the black blazer gives it a much more structured look, which I absolutely adore. Add my pair of barely there heels (There is not a night out that goes by where I don’t wear these!) and the look is very nearly complete…
Some of the best treasures I have found to finish off an outfit have been found hidden within a charity shop, which is where I found this little clutch from. It’s has come in extremely handy over the last few weeks as the perfect size for a phone and small purse on a night out. There is something so exciting about having a big rummage at local charity shops, not only can you find some vintage pieces you are also helping the community, too. The one time where I don’t have to feel too guilty about the things I buy!
Do you mix high street style with charity shop finds? Or would you never even step foot in a charity shop? I’d love to know what treasures you have found!
