DATE NIGHT. Date night’s are so important I feel. Head out for dinner, to a movie, heck even mini 3D golf (it exists guys!) Whatever floats your boat, sometimes it’s just nice to get out of the house, put the phones down and re-connect again. I as much as anyone is guilty of having my phone glued to my hand. My husband has a rather unhealthy addiction to Clash of Clans. If you’ve not heard of it, don’t introduce your other half to it, imagine Pokémon Go, except this fascination has been going on for over two years. Yep. I digress, for me I truly get cabin fever and love to get out the house. When I spend so much time heaped behind a computer at work and then behind my laptop at home working on the blog it is so important for me to get out and about, otherwise I’d go stir crazy.

I write on this blog, time and time again about how curvy I am. It probably bores you all #sorrynotsorry – but I can’t help but feel that that does define some aspects of this blog, especially the fashion posts. I trialled the SlimFast 7 day meal plan. I knew I loved the shakes but had never tried the lunch pots from SlimFast. They currently offer Spaghetti Bolognase, Chicken Korma, Sweet & Sour Chicken Noodles and Spicy Thai. With the promise of them all being 100 calories. They are made with what they are called *”Slim-Taki™” noodles, made from konjac. I loved them. I felt like I was getting a sizeable portion but not forgoing taste or piling in something rubbish for my body.

I’ll bet there’s a few of you out there that dread getting in to that special outfit, be it for a wedding or date night with your other half – being a gal, it can be bloody tough. Crash dieting isn’t a good option, and I’m going to put my hands up sometimes I feel that this is my only option (This is not the best option. AT ALL.) Working on the 7 day meal plan with SlimFast I have come to realise you can diet healthily alongside a great exercise plan, too.

You’re probably hanging on for the results, aren’t you? You want me to shut up, I know, I know, but hang fire with me, please. For me the SlimFast was a bit of journey to track my eating habits (not excessively though!) and think about what I was putting in my body. In turn, it paid in dividends. Can I have a drum roll please… I lost just over 3lbs over the week, which is not bad going for a week long plan. I’ve been seriously tempted to purchase another box because I felt so happy with the results. I never once felt hungry, or felt the need to reach for something naughty, probably because the plan included sweet and savoury snacks that kept hunger at bay. But all in all, I was super pleased with my final results and felt like I could most definitely rock it on date night!
