I am one hundred million percent, over the moon to tell you all that little old me won the “Best Use of Photography” award at the #BloggersBlogAwards, hosted by Hayley of Tea Party Beauty at the Blueberry Hill Studios on Saturday. I’d have written this post sooner but I’ve just been so overwhelmed by the kind messages, tweets and comments that have come in their droves over the last 72 hours.

This post is a big, humongous thank you to everyone and anyone who voted for me in any of the rounds of voting. It is possibly the most humbling thing to know that some part of what I put on the internet makes you smile or happy when you see it. Especially when I do doubt myself far more than necessary.

When Hayley announced my name as the winner of the category I was in utter, sheer shock. And for the first time in a long time tears came rather than actual words. I mustered a few meek “thank you’s” when I collected the award. I was just incredibly confused that I had won.

The support from everyone at the event was so lovely. I met so many amazingly kind people who took the time out to come up to me and say “well done” – because my little legs struggled to walk round the room myself. So, thank you for making things a little bit easier for me.

I’d also like to say a massive thank you to Hayley again, who gives it her all when it comes to organising this amazing event. So much time and hard work goes in to creating this for our community and she deserves so much praise for doing so.  No amount of words can accumulate to just how thankful we are for her putting it all together.

In the interest of celebrating myself as an “award winning blogger” (can I please get a massive LOL at that?!) I wanted to share some of my favourite posts over the last year where I’ve loved the photography that comes with the post…

There’s also some wonderful photographers that I worked with over the last year or so which have also helped me get my personal style posts to where I want them to be, and I have to also say a massive thank you to both my wonderful Husband who over the years has slowly understood the need for him to be more “Instagram” (I joke, of course!) and my sister who often helps with shoots, so here are some others who have helped along the way.

There are so many people that are patient with me when it comes to my blog and I’m 100% excited to see where the next year takes me, I do hope you’ll be along for the ride! Thank you for all your support since I started blogging back in 2010.
