#TOGETHERWECAN WITH THE PRINCES TRUST | QUEENBEADY

When I see a charitable campaign, it’s often I find myself wishing I could do more. I just don’t always know how. On this blog I’m an advocate for striving to be who you are and making positive changes if you require them within your life. That’s where the #TogetherWeCan campaign with The Princes Trust fits in so well. They really believe all young people have the potential to change their path in life, be it education, a career path or just creating a better life for themselves after a painful start in the world! And they’ve been doing it for 40 years now.

Most of you will be familiar with the Princes Trust, founded by Prince Charles after his career in the Navy, he was passionate about igniting a Charity where he could give back and make people’s lives better. A pretty worthwhile cause if you ask me! You can read here about the development & history of his hard work since the 1970’s.

This incredible new campaign features this compelling video, Parallel Lives, my heart stopped when watching it because the message is powerful. It’s so easy to think everything is rosy, but life can play a very different story behind other closed doors and so often people feel trapped, not knowing how to turn their life around. The Princes Trust give those in need a brand new start with bigger, better and even more beautiful prospects. Please note, this comes with a trigger warning if you watch the video.

If it wasn’t for the Princes Trust some young adults lives could be very different now. With the provision of free courses and Enterprise programmes up & down the country, it gives people the chance to get their foot on the ladder when otherwise they wouldn’t be able to. It gives them that voice that they may have never found. With celebrity ambassadors galore it’s hard not to take notice of the Charity, Ant & Dec headed up a fantastic insight in to Prince Charle’s life as he carried out his duties as the founder of Princes Trust, for which they are patrons for and alongside their fellow Geordie, Cheryl. Even Beyoncé’s #BeyGood campaign raises more than £85,000 for the worthwhile cause. That’s another £85,000 towards helping someone in need, wanting to make a difference for themselves.

So, how can we help? We can donate directly or you can fundraise (probably the more fun way of doing it!) and you can find out more here – there’s plenty of fundraising inspiration and resources to set you up for a successful event to raise money. Why not even Volunteer? A great way to give back (and something to add to your CV!) there are a multitude of ways to make a difference and there are so many people that would be so grateful if you did.

I’d love to know if you decide to fundraise for the Princes Trust! Have you ever been effected? If so, remember you can contact them here! You could help change someones life for the better.
