COCKTAILS AT THE JO MALONE GARDEN TERRACE AT THE IVY, HARROGATE

Press Review Invitation

It’s an absolute wonder that the Ivy haven’t opened their doors up North sooner, but I guess the term, “better late than never” is pretty accurate on this. I was recently invited to enjoy cocktails at the Jo Malone Garden Terrace at the Ivy, Harrogate to celebrate Jo Malone’s new “Blossoms” range.

There is no denying that my love for the Ivy and Jo Malone fragrances is both in equal measure, so when I heard the two were collaborating I knew I had to go and experience it. The garden terrace is set behind the Ivy in it’s own enclosed garden. The terrace is decked, complete with outoor fires and heaters, huge parasols to protect you from the cold (it can get pretty blustery in Harrogate!) so it’s great for all weathers!

The decoration though, it is second to none. So much detail (and symmetry!) has gone in to creating this beautiful, floral display to celebrate Jo Malone’s Blossoms range that includes scent notes such as sandalwood, frangipani and jasmine petals – not only is the spot an Instagrammers dream, the service is great and attentive and that’s before I’ve even got to the cocktail tasting!

We were kindly provided with nibbles too and I got to have my favourite, arancini balls from the menu once more and a huge mountain of zucchini frites, which were so moreish which we happily swilled down with our complimentary cocktails.

WHEN & WHERE?

Until the 25th August, you can sit back and relax in the Ivy’s garden terrace which can be found at 7-9 Parliament Street, Harrogate, with a Silk Blossom Cosmo Cocktail, which is a gin infused version of a Cosmo. I can confirm they are potent and seriously pack a punch, but they are also very, very delicious.

If you’d like to read more about The Ivy’s full menu, you can read my review of the York and Leeds restaurants too. I do have to say though, that whilst the interiors are all very similar in each establishment, the Harrogate branch just pips it with it’s beautiful building and gardens too.

If you want a taste of the luxe life and to get those Instagram snaps, don’t leave it too late because you only have until the end of August to try these scrummy beverages.
