MY YORKSHIRE LUXURY SPA BUCKET LIST

AD This contains sponsored content. If there’s one thing you can tell I like around here, it’s a good spa day or break. Nothing quite beats slipping into a bikini, jumping into a hot tub with a glass of bubbles and then having a massage or a facial. It’s one of the ultimate ways to relax and unwind. I’ve been very fortunate to experience some of the best spas around the world but would you believe that some of my favourites are right here in my home county, plus there’s also quite a few that I’m dying to visit but haven’t had the chance to yet so without further a do, here is my Yorkshire Luxury Spa Bucket List for a rainy day!

TITANIC SPA, HUDDERSFIELD

If you’re looking for award-winning spa breaks in Yorkshire then look no further than the Titanic Spa in Huddersfield. I think the reason I love the idea of heading on a spa day here is that it’s not your typical, out in the countryside, manor house style spa. And, whilst you can still see the beautiful acres of the Pennines that surround it, it’s actually located inside a former 20th century textile mill, which creates this really cool, unique and quirky venue for a spa getaway. If you are looking to stay the night, inside you will find 33 state-of-the-art apartments with some having their very own balcony too.

With each signature overnight spa break it includes, complimentary use of robes, towels and slippers and access to the Heat and Ice Experience & leisure club which certainly floats my boat, and to top it off lunch and dinner are also thrown in to the price (the mention of food and I am there!) As someone who is always umming and ahhing about whether to have a massage or facial, this place has a “Best of Both Worlds” section on the treatment menu so you don’t have to forgo one or the other. Hallelujah! I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about this place from those who have visited so a trip is very much in order soon.

FEVERSHAM ARMS HOTEL & VERBENA SPA, HELMSLEY

Ah, if there’s ever been a spa that I want to visit in Yorkshire, it’s the Feversham Arms. If only for the amazing outdoor pool they boast. It’s a quintessential limestone building with a beautiful courtyard where I can very much see myself sitting by the pool in the summer with an Aperol Spritz to boot. Set in Helmsley, just on the outskirts of the Yorkshire Dales you can cram in a gorgeous walk nearby if you’re not pressed for time – If you think of a chocolate box cottage village, this place would spring to mind.

There’s a lovely list of treatments that I’m not sure what I would choose, once again you can opt for a “Me Time” treatment where you can choose two options for either 75 minutes or 90 minutes. I’ve known so many people who have visited, got engaged here, celebrated 1st Wedding Anniversaries, 21st Birthdays and more. It’s clearly a hit for those who are wanting to ring in a special occasion. Let’s just hope I’m next in line!

THE GRAND HOTEL & SPA, YORK

Luckily I have had the pleasure of visiting this hotel on a couple of occasions over the last year or so, one being to try out one of their cookery classes (which FYI is another reason to visit this place!) I love the location as it’s in the centre of York and not too far from the train station (for those who don’t drive!) This place is nothing short of indulgent. As far as city centre spas go this place has it all.

The spa itself is set down below in the hotel’s atmospheric former vaults where the North Eastern Railway company once stowed its fortunes, making it feel like you are completely escaping the outside world. The “Inner Calm” massage sounds exactly what I need after a stressful week (or ten!)

You really can make it a long weekend exploring the walls of York which can be accessed directly opposite the hotel itself. Hope on a short river cruise minutes from the hotel and then relax back at the spa and hotel after a day of exploring! The Grand is just that. GRAND.

Do you enjoy spa days? Is there one in particular that you’d love to go to?
