Gosh, I really do seem to be very up and down on my blog as of late. I’m finally getting to a really good place in life. My relationship just feels so wonderful at the moment, work is going really well and my mental health is on the incline after finally accepting and getting help. Despite all of the above I’ve been ever so quiet on Twitter and Instagram recently. It’s been really nice just living in the now and not having to work to too many deadlines or feeling like I need to be connected to world wide web all the time.
Finding time to sit down and write is terribly difficult at the moment. Not only finding the time to do it, but it’s also about how inspired I am. My over-indulgence of Gilmore Girls on Netflix is partly to blame. I looked back over these photos that I shot with Alex and it was all the inspiration I needed, really. I’ve been taking my time with posts, creating photographic content with Alex that’s not rushed and very raw. I like the direction my blog is taking. I might not be here constantly like I was before but I feel like I’m producing the quality I want and have strived for, for so long. I look at my blog and I’m happy.
By allowing myself to enjoy being in the present I have been enjoying my time much more, stressing less about my next blog post and generally just being a much happier, more positive human being. Something that I have so desperately wanted these last few months. By not being active on social as much I’ve uncovered a new found love for actual “human interaction.” That being with my husband the most. We have laughed so much these last few weeks. I’ve taken the time to listen to him and chat with him with no distractions, something in this day + age seems to be a rarity. It’s not conducive to be obsessed with social media and I’m afraid I’d hit that line. I’m glad I now see just how much it consumed my daily routines. And it’s safe to say, I’ve accepted that. I’m now working on it.
Despite my mini break from social media, I will always have fire in my belly for this blog. After 6 long years of curating my lifestyle, fashion and travel picks I will find a way back to it. Just please bear with me in the process.
