Now you might be thinking, ‘’have we just travelled back in time, January’s Degustabox?’’ No, your eye’s aren’t deceiving you. I have only just got round to posting about my box, in February. So a huge apology to those waiting for my monthly review courtesy of Degustabox.

Life has been pretty hectic recently & it’s been difficult to keep up with regular blog posts, but hopefully now I am back to it & I am excited to bring you lot’s of new posts.

Mornflake RRP £1.19 each

Imma just put it out there. I love porridge, I love golden syrup & I love nutella. So what wasn’t to love about these little pots of goodness? Obviously nothing in my eyes. A perfect morning starter to get ready and raring for the busy day ahead. Not only that but porridge burns slower so it means you can get more done in the day before you start to feel hungry. Win/win situation or what?

Koko Dairy Free RRP £1.39

I’m always up for trying something a little bit different if it means you aren’t sacrificing taste for less calories (ie. I started to use sweeteners!) this isn’t too different from that. It takes a little while to get used to be once you are accustomed to it, it actually isn’t that bad? I won’t be rushing out to buy this and replace my red or green top milk, but it’s not the most offensive thing I’ve tasted!

Alfa One Rice Oil RRP £2.00

I’ve only used this a handful of times. As much as I’d love to be able to right a full paragraph on this it’s pretty difficult to give you an in-depth write up of oil? Anything that reduces cholesterol and creates a more healthier lifestyle gets a thumbs up from me.

Little Miracles RRP £1.49 each

I’m already a huge fan of the Little Miracle drinks, so the fact that we got another two to try in January’s box made me super happy. I have to say that the Black tea & Peach drink was my favourite! I love how refreshing they are and equally as healthy. With no added colours, sweeteners or flavours you really know that you are drinking pure goodness. And only at 90 calories everyone is happy!

Magners Light RRP Unknown

If I’m not drinking prosecco, I’m most probably drinking fruit cider. So of course I was thrilled when I uncovered this in amongst my box. The fantastic thing about this is that it is the light version. At only 103 calories you can enjoy an alcoholic drink without feeling too guilty about throwing a few of these back (in moderation of course!)

Finn Crisp RRP £1.20

Essentially, this is a box of Ryvita’s. They are rancid on their own but add some hummous or Piccalilli on top. For a nifty, guilt free treat (providing the topping is equally healthy!) this is something I have found myself reaching for when I’m a little peckish on an evening.

Haywards Piccalilli RRP £1.89

My husband is a piccalilli fiend! I literally had no idea what this concoction was until I met him. He started applying it thick and fast to his cheese and ham sandwich & when he exclaimed that it had cauliflower in it you can imagine my face was a picture (& not a pretty one!) But, he made me try it and I was pleasantly surprised. This paticular brand is quite tangy and mustardy but I really enjoyed it. I have been plying my Finn breads with this too! A yummy snack when the belly is rumbling.

Sukrin Cake Mix RRP £5.00

Sadly, I have not had chance to make this cake yet. I think it’s a job for this weekend while Mr C heads off racing. I feel that for £5 you could probably create a cake from scratch yourself for less money, but if you want a quick & easy cake to make then maybe you’ll be in the market for something like this. It serves 10 so let’s see if I will be inviting people round for afternoon tea this weekend.

Simplee Aloe RRP £1.79

Again, this is something I haven’t actually tried either. I hear so many things about Aloe products and haven’t seemed to jump on the bandwagon (when do I?) I’m going to crack it open and have try. The thought of it does make me a little queasy, but they say you can’t say you don’t like something if you have never tried it. So try it I will.

Kabuto Noodles RRP £2.00

Mr C took these to work with him one cold, winters day. He doesn’t have a microwave at work & really fancied something to warm the cockles so I packed him up with this and asked him to report back. Okay, so he isn’t the greatest person with words but he did say that it was pretty tasty for a posh ‘’pot noodle’’ style meal. It kept him happy, warm & with a full stomach I think we had a pretty happy customer. He did say for £2 it was a little more than he would want to spend but given that you would probably pay the same (if not more!) for a sandwich then it was actually pretty good value when you weight it up.

Clipper Green Tea RRP Unknown

Green tea is an acquired taste. When I first started my Bootea Teatox in December it took me a couple of days to really get used to the fragrant style tea. If I’m feeling like I need a little pick me up and something to de-bloat then I pick up a cup and make myself a green tea now. It’s still hard to drink sometimes but you do feel so much more cleansed for it.
