We had a pretty hectic week off. We had all good intentions of just relaxing, but knowing Mr C & I that was never going to be on the cards. After spending 3 glorious nights away for our 8 year anniversary in Budapest (you can read about it here & here!) we arrived home and started gutting the house. It was time for us to spruce up the garden after a cold winter and make it all nice for our summer BBQ’s. Then it was on to our mammoth job of painting the hallway and landing, we opted for a gorgeous olive green colour which has completely revamped the house in just 24 hours. Then it was on to finding a new car, which I’m happy to say we have finally found!
Having said that, it got to Sunday night and we collapsed on the sofa’s after making some room from all the relentless rubbish we have piled around after all our DIY! It was finally time for us to relax. When the Jacamo Date Night package arrived I was under strict instructions not to open & hand over to the husband straight away. True to my word, the first I glimpse I had of it was when Mr C ushered me upstairs to the bedroom where he had laid out the bubble bath and funny little anecdote book called ‘’Sweet Nothings & Pillow Talk’’ with hilarious lines for all occasions. So whilst I soaked in my soothing bubble bath I chuckled away to some of the one-liners. This one particularly got me as Mr C is a keen shooter.
Do you have a license for those guns?
Quite clearly there is a ‘’sexy innuendo’’ for everything & anything.
After my bath I was suitably relaxed and ready for a night of (pillow talk) relaxing my weary bones. So of course, it was every girls dream to have a glass of bubbly being poured for her for even more indulgence. This date night was shaping up nicely, candles, bubbly, a relaxing bath, what could possibly make it any better?
Yep, you guessed it… Chocolates and some JT for good measure. It was nigh on perfect, so whilst I laid my head on the husbands shoulder trying desperately not to dose off we laughed and whooped through a hilarious rom-com that I thought I would have never got him to watch.
What would be your perfect date night? How do you make it special when you create your own date night in, is it candles and roses for you? I’d love to hear your suggestions.
