For those who follow me ontwitteryou will be no stranger to my wish of wanting to head to our newest Cafe, Dulcie Butterfly. Well, my dreams came true on the bank holiday weekend. After our spa day, you can read about that here,my best friend & I headed for some scrumptious delights in this emporium of vintage goodness!
It was far too difficult for me to narrow the photos down, so this is one photo heavy post. How can you not be excited by all the whirling, swirling, colourful delights that surrounded me? You can see that everything has been handpicked by the owner whose love for anything vintage is clearly apparent.
After perusing the menu, and I have to tell you it was a diffucult choice, I opted for the smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwiches & Rachael went for a ham and cheese bagel, both of which were delicious. Both sandwiches were crammed full of fillings leaving us suitably full. You could tell everything was lovingly made!
Despite being completely full, what’s a trip to a vintage tea room without tasting the home made cake produce? We both shared the gluten free chocolate and rose cake & also the lemon drizzle! Both were absolutely divine and so, so, so tasty!
From plastic lollipops, pretty trinkets to colourful fabrics, you won’t be short of gift idea’s here either. Everything on show you can buy – I know where I will be shopping for all my families gifts, especially if I want something a little bit different & unique. Not only do they sell a variety of gifts you can also order flowers and bouquets too!
It’s apparent that no stone is left untouched here. The atmoshpere is warm & welcoming, the food is to die for and the decor is something out of a dream! I would highly recommend visiting for something a little different to your usual chains in the city centre, come out to the countryside and experience some home made, vintage charm!
Do you live near a hidden gem? I’d love to hear from you so I can go try it!
