Don’t Believe What They Say About Black & Blue | QueenBeady

Black & Blue

Don’t believe what they say about black & blue not going together. I recently read that the Parisians love pairing the two colours together to create the chicest of outfits. So of course, when I read that I happily pick out blue and black items out of my wardrobe and with a sigh of relief, know it’s okay to put them on at the same time. Phew.

You see, you probably already know that if you read my blog, I take Parisian style tips very seriously. Parisian woman are effortless in how they style themselves from being a #GIRLBOSS in the office to running a small errand to the shop – they always get it right. And, they always seem to do it with a trusty leather jacket, so of course this is never off my back – especially with the turbulent weather at the moment. I mean, where has British Summer Time gone?

I’ve also noticed a trend that is slowly starting to do away with big bags; whilst I am all for a bag that can house the kitchen sink, I’m pretty tired of having to carry something of a similar weight. A perfect shoulder bag is something every woman needs. In black of course. But in all seriousness, it’s a quick fix for when you need to pop out and just need the bare essentials such a phone, keys and purse. This one from Oasis at House of Fraser is perfect for just that & I’ve not looked back since I picked it from the range. It’s safe to say this will be going everywhere with me at Leeds Festival later on this week because of it’s ease (and plenty of pockets.)

I just want to take a moment to appreciate this top too. The solitary blue item of this outfit, but by golly is probably the best. This beautiful navy top from Reiss is made of dreams. It’s the right amount of dressed up casual that makes it okay to wear for any occasion. Since it entered my wardrobe, it’s made plenty of exits to be worn over & over again.

Do you steer clear of pairing black & blue together? Or do you embrace the two tones? I’d love to know!
