Just Grand Vintage Tearoom Leeds Main

If there’s one thing I love it’s food, and if there is another thing I love, then that is cute & quirky eateries. When I met the lovely Faith, Jenna & Carrie-Anne on Saturday before the #BlogAtTheBeach event, we headed down to the Grand Arcade to grab a drink and some food at Just Grand Vintage Tearooms Leeds. With it being Yorkshire Day, there’s something so quintessentially British about having a little afternoon tea (or tea at any time for that matter!) so of course Jenna & Faith decided to have a mammoth pot of tea between them. I rocked the boat and ordered a Rose Lemonade (I was thirsty for something cool!)

Everywhere you look around in this place, you notice something different. There was a clock that had Faith’s name on, and on closer inspection one of the pieces of art on the wall said ”Queen” – yes maybe, not quite directed at myself but sure enough it is part of my blog name after all?

We decided we wanted some food because none of us had eaten and it had gotten to that time of the day where bellies were rumbling which was our cue to order food. After having a good gander of the menu I was really spoilt for choice, but I decided I wanted some crumpets with peanut butter! Nom. Faith had a gluten free cake and Jenna chose a cheese and ham toasty with a poached egg on top, props for something a little quirky!

It didn’t take long to be served our food at all and it gave us chance to catch up on all the things we’ve been getting up to recently. Carrie-Anne has had a baby and it’s over a year since I saw her at my first ever blog meet! It’s amazing that the people I have met through blogging are now a big part of my life, Faith & Jenna I regularly get to meet up with at events and meet ups and it’s nice that I can class these people whom I would never have met, as friends. And really bloody good ones at that! We got to chat for a good hour or so, in this light, airy & spacious vintage café and it was so lovely to just relax in preent company.

I’d definitely recommend this place, it reminds me of Dulcie Butterfly, if you do want to go & sit inside I would definitely advise you to book early. There are seats outside that don’t require reservations but the phone rang many times to be told they were fully booked. So don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Have you been before? Or are you going to get booked in now you’ve read this post! Let me know.
