Dress Parisian Collection at New Look | Coat Mango | Bag Mango | Mules Monsoon

I wouldn’t have enough fingers to count on, the times I have said I have fallen in love with a dress, or any piece of clothing for that matter. In fact I sometimes feel like I’m in a lustful affair with some of my wardrobe. I love you A-Line denim skirt, you’re so structured and lovely but some days you just got to go for the floatiness of chiffon. Does that make me a bad person? I look at these photos & I realise not, because this dress is pretty darned good. Am I right? I fell in love with it as soon as I laid eyes on it via New Looks online sale. It comes from the concession ”Parisian Collection” and in all honesty I hadn’t actually heard of it before. But when the words Parisian come in to any metaphorical term for clothing. I’m there.

I’ve only ever been to Paris on a pit stop tour as we passed through for my 12th birthday. My mum had saved all year to make my birthday a special one, a trip to Disneyland Paris and an evening watching Britney Spears at a stadium in Paris itself. It was pretty late at night but we drove past the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower, everything lit up at midnight, despite the hazy tired eyes I couldn’t help but take it all in.

The Parisian style has become something of staple wardrobe for many. The effortless, barely-made-an-effort-but-I-look-oh-so-good kinda look is giving us the chance to create a capsule wardrobe. Something that will stand the test of time. Now I know this dress isn’t my usual Breton style, but I had so many lovely comments on this dress that it looked like a style from the French 70’s style, you know the ones that used to hand out there windows, painting and smoking all day without a care in the world? That’s what I feel like I should be doing in this dress, it’s joyous. I almost feel like I’ve picked it out of a vintage jumble sale. It tells this great big story to me, despite it being brand new.

The bell sleeves are just something to behold too. You want nothing more than to walk down the street with your arms out horizontally (make way for me and long spindly arms please) and let the wind just blow them in all manner of directions. Is that just me? Okay then. Did I mention it was only £9 in the sale? No. Go buy it.

When it was a bit cooler, as it does get in Yorkshire, I put my trusty suede jacket from Mango on. Plus how adorable are these mules from Monsoon? I had been searching high & low online only to be met with outrageous prices or that dreaded out of stock message. These real leather mules were a steal at £14 in the sale. I can’t even begin to tell you how comfy they are to wear. I can see these being worn to death during the summer!

Have you been making the most of the online sales? I know I (shouldn’t) have! I’d love to hear if you’ve picked up something that you’ve fallen madly, deeply, in love with too!
