BOOM. I’m back, back with my first personal style post of 2016. The weather is literally so up and down at the moment that I cannot keep up with it. One moment it’s mild, the next it’s raining and then Mr Jack Frost comes to play. It’s been a whirlwind of freak nature the last few months. We spent Boxing Day at my in-laws farm wading thigh high in pig excrement and flood water saving pigs, cows and sheep. Luckily all was fine but for my latest post, I wanted to feel a little more, well, glamorous. And as Macklemore once sang “Wearing the (Faux) Fur Fox” from the popular song Thrift Shop, that is what I did.

There’s nothing in this world that a roll neck jumper cannot help with, especially in the Winter months. To keep all cosy, these styles of jumpers have never left my side for the past 4 or 5 months since the days have become shorter and cooler (that & the office I work in is freezing!) This brown version has been keeping my company and quite frankly it’s one of my favourite jumpers, I’m always wearing it.

To add that “glamorous” feel that I was talking about, I picked up this faux fur stole from New Look a couple of weeks ago in their Chesterfield Branch. Despite my (lovely) husband saying it looked like the behind of a fox (yes, well I suppose it does) I cannot deny the fact that it is oh-so very cosy. I feel like a 1940’s movie star when I wear it – along with these stunning new boots (thank you House of Fraser!) . I adore the faux snake skin, suede and leather contrasts on them. The perfect statement boot. I am a huge fan and despite them being quite a tall heel they are very comfortable, plus they were under £30!

Last but not least I could not leave out mentioning these black jean from George. They are such a good fit, I don’t feel like I’m bulging out of them, but instead they are working with my curves and not against them, unlike some other brands of jeans. They are my go-to pair of black skinnies now & I won’t have anything bad said about them. I’d really recommend trying a pair out.

I’m loving the AW15/16 styles and I’ll be a little bit sad to say goodbye to chunky knits, scarves and big boots – but I am longing for the longer days and the sunshine to come back. Is anyone else with me on that? My only dilemma is how I’m going to incorporate black and beige in to my Summer wardrobe? Yikes.

Are you going to be sad to say goodbye to your winter thermals? Or you excited to revitalise a brighter wardrobe? I’d love to know in the comments section.
