HoF Bags

All of the above can be purchased on House of Fraser

Having just got back from my recent trip to Madeira, I am now eagerly awaiting our next break which happens to be a city break to Oslo, Norway at the end of May. We really don’t have that long to wait and the rate that this year is going it will be here before we know it, no doubt. With that said I need to start thinking about my next holiday essentials and at the top of that list is a great piece of hand luggage.

I don’t know about you but I find taking just hand luggage on city breaks can really take a huge amount of stress out the holiday (well, aside from working out how you are going to fit everything in to one backpack – y’know, the whole “how dafuq amma gonna fit 15 pairs of shoe’s in this tiny bag?” kinda dilemna, but we can forgive it ever so slightly for all the pro’s!) One, you don’t have to wait at the luggage carousel, you can quickly hop on the local train and be sightseeing straight away and two, you don’t have to worry about what you’re gonna do with your luggage on your last day, you can just carry it around with you.

I picked some of my favourite weekend bags that would be just great for taking on my next trip. I’m especially fond of the Superdry one as it’s a great colour and really quite practical. A word that I am using far too frequently in my latter twenties. But the Ted Baker & Lulu Guiness designs are great if you are looking for something a little more colourful and stand-outish (a lot less chance of it being stolen too!)

Of course there are some rather beautiful backpacks that wouldn’t necessarily fit everything in but hey, pretty? And doesn’t that count for a lot? The holdalls and small suitcase are also great weekend bags for staying in the UK when you have a car to hand so they of course had to get a mention. Plus, look at that Aspinal of London bag, I am going all *heart eyed emoji* as I type.

When you travel do you just stick to hand luggage or do you need a full 20kg to bide you over for your holiday? Which one would you pick if you were me (read: help there are too many nice ones to choose from, help me decide!!!) I’d love to know in the comments below.
