THE HOXTON HOTEL, PARIS: THE INSTAGRAM-WORTHY HOTEL YOU NEED TO STAY AT

It’s the small hotel chain that was (and still is) hot on everyone’s lips in 2018. People are flocking here just for the sake of visiting the hotel and not the aim of the trip being explore the beautiful city of Paris.

And, dare I say it, rightly so!

It’s an interiors heaven, an influencers dream hotel and any cocktail lovers perfect spot for a tipple. This hotel has it all. And if you didn’t already know which hotel I’m talking about, it’s The Hoxton Hotel, Paris.

Read more reviews about the Hoxton Hotel, Paris.

Address: The Hoxton Hotel,

30 Rue de Sentier,

75003, Paris

We were in Paris for a mere 24 hours before we flitted between Download Festival and Disneyland Paris and the South of France so our time was very limited and I just knew that we had to stay at The Hoxton Hotel to make the most of our time in the city of love.

Blink and you’d miss the entrance, whilst its beautiful, it’s just off a street that you probably wouldn’t even think twice about walking down. Luckily our Uber driver knew where he was going and managed to navigate the rather stressful roads of Paris and delivered us right outside the door on the very narrow street.

The lobby of the Hoxton Hotel is of course one of the most impressive parts of the hotel. With gorgeous foliage clad walls that have graced nearly every instagram feed of those who have visited, to the double height lounge area complete with winding, cast iron stares up to the secret cocktail bar and courtyard café that feels quintessentially French.

Each and every single detail has been carefully considered yet, it looks so under-done that it’s so cool it hurts (just like the stunning women here in the capital it seems this hotel got the memo on this too!)

Typical, French.

The Lobby

We arrived a little earlier than our 2pm check-in, one of our rooms was ready but the other took about 5 minutes or so to prepare which was incredibly accommodating of the hotel team.

As we waited we took a seat in the lobby and just took in everything the pastel shaded hotel had to offer. I wanted to soak it all in.

People watching all the cool locals sipping on espresso’s, talking in their beautiful, strong and passionate tongue. It was hard not to fall in to a daze and feel like you were on the set of a movie.

And right on cue, as my stomach started to rumble from the early start and rail strikes, the freshly made croissants looked delicious and the pastry-smells wafted through the hotel and up my nostrils making me crave all the pain au chocolats in the whole of France!

The Bedrooms

We booked two of the shoebox doubles as we were trying to keep our trip to a budget (but we wanted a gorgeous hotel nonetheless!) and I was half expecting to be in a little cupboard with a name like that, but luckily the room was much more than expected. And, yes it was cosy, but there was plenty of room for two people to enjoy a long weekend break here without getting cabin fever.

Our room was filled with rich tones of deep midnight blue and warm, soft leather. Everything seemed that of a gentleman’s club but actually, not as harsh.

The rotary dial phones and Robert’s radio’s were a nice touch, making the room feel a little retro & I loved it!

Oh, and the beds. After 2 full days at a music festival and 3 nights in a not-so-comfy bed at a cheap AirBnB it was safe to say that the beds felt like heaven and falling in to a deep slumber was high on the agenda later that night after seeking out steak frites & beers. (But not before we tried one of the most expensive cocktails of my life up in the garden cocktail bar – very hard on the purse strings but extremely tasty on the way down!)

Brekkie was kindly left in a paper bag on a hook outside your door each morning and it consisted of the yummiest granola yoghurt I’ve ever had, a banana and some fresh juice. It was a great way to start the day before heading off to Disneyland.

The Bathroom

Again, with a title of “shoebox room” I thought the bathroom would be teeny-weeny however, it was quite the opposite. It had a fabulous walk in shower (that was still nice and warm when we showered unlike some hotels with multiple rooms!) Plus, they had some fabulous products to use from the bl_nk range!

I loved the distressed, copper taps, rails and shower heads too. Plus the white subway tiles and bright blue floor tiles added even more character to it.

I swear this hotel has just about made me want to go home and redecorate the whole of our house just like it!

Even though there were no windows in the bathroom is was still very bright for applying make up in the morning.

Despite the very short and sweet stay at the Hoxton Hotel I felt very settled and comfortable during our one night stay.

Prices start from 179 euros a night, we received a 10% discount when we booked which equated to about £115 with the conversion and I think for the quality, style and location of the hotel was brilliant as far as Paris hotels go.

Compare prices & book your trip to Paris here.

My only regret, I just wish we could have stayed longer! But, I guess that means that another trip is likely and moving higher up the travel agenda!
