AD | BEGINNER FLOWER CRAFTING IDEAS

AD Paid Promotion | For those who are new around here I recently took up a lot of crafting activities during lockdown. With no travel or eating out (my two favourite pastimes), I had to get creative with my time so I didn’t go stir crazy. I’ve got some great beginner flower crafting ideas for you if you’re looking for something new to try your hand at.

Card Making

My mum is a card maker extraordinaire and it amazes me with how many different styles and themes she manages to come up with for everyone’s birthdays and celebrations we have in the family. I’ve always thought it’s such a nice touch sending someone a homemade card. A great place to get some beginner flower crafting ideas & inspiration for your own DIY cards is Design Bundle and you can find all sorts of cricut & silhouettes available, just like these Sunflower SVGs here. There’s lots of idea’s to get you started if you’re a newbie card maker! It’s not limited to just cards though – you can use them for manner of paper crafting, such as bunting,

Flower Arranging

Why not try your hand at flower arranging? It doesn’t have to be expensive either! I try my hand at it every now and then when I’m feeling creative. All you have to do is pick up a few bunches from your local supermarket, somewhere like Aldi or Lidl that have small and reasonably priced bunches available. Then hop on YouTube and have a play around with creating the perfect bouquet for you to enjoy at home. Okay, at first they might not be as good as those from your local flower shop but you can have fun doing it at the fraction of the cost!

A dried flower wreath kit from the quietly wild store

If you’ve been around here a while you’ll know that I started my very own online store this year selling DIY flower wreath kits over on the quietly wild store. It was something I started doing last year during lockdown. I quickly grew to love creating something seasonal and beautiful for the home. The process was what I found very cathartic so I wanted to pass on the same joy I found from it on to other people. Check out the different kits here, they come with full, digital instructions so you can’t go wrong! Everything comes with the kit, including a beautiful assortment of dried flowers. Some of our customers own creations are so beautiful and you can check them out here. The full instructions of how you can create your own wreath are all on the blog.

Make your own Flower Crown

At the height of festival season, it’s not really a gig or concert without donning your very own flower crown to dance in the muddy fields, is it? If you cna cast your mind back I actually made my very own flower crown for my wedding day which we sat the veil around. I made that one simply using floristry wire, green tape and faux flowers. I’m already looking at planning a DIY floral crown kit over on the quietly wild store too, so you must keep your eyes peeled for that.

I hope this gave you some ideas when it comes to crafting with flowers in mind!
