Most of you will think I’m biased when I say this but my sister is SUPER TALENTED!. It makes me so jealous when I see her next creation. She just never stops growing when it comes to art. Okay, so I’m gushing like a typical older sister but I genuinely think she is amazing at what she does. Firstly you should check her Facebook page here and see for yourself! She kindly let me grill her!

What inspires you to draw/paint and paint?
My inspiration comes from colourful and weird architectural buildings. I like to turn them into my own quirky style buildings with elements of my own designs within them. I also love to draw desserts, I’m drawn in by their shapes and the forms that they take and the details of the small colourful fruits and decorations on top. I love the simplicity of how I can draw these buildings and desserts and still make them fun, detailed and my own.

What’s your favourite illustration you have created so far?
I don’t have a particular favourite illustration so far, as I love all my work and I have many more to develop. But I would say one of my illustrations that I’m most fond of at the moment is my black and white, Black rock cafe piece. This piece is for my FMP (final major project) for college. I will be producing and illustrating my storyboard on different surfaces such as wood, porcelain teapots, fabric etc.

What is your dream job?
My dream job is to become a professional illustrator, writer and graphic designer. One day I’d love to see my designs on cards, magazines, bags, wallpapers, curtains, fashion, all sorts really!

I’m sure everyone wants to know what your favourite style is, so what is your favourite outfit?
My style is very grunge like, but I have started taking a liking to the bohemian style. My favourite outfit would have to be my Kate Tartan Oversized Smock Dress and my burgundy Maddy Buckled Chunky Ankle Boots. My one accessory that I never leave the house without is my red hand of Fatima bracelet.

Any advice to any aspiring artists out there?
The Advice I would give to any aspiring artists out there from experience is to go to an art college (or any college that studies art), study artists and become inspired by their work and become motivated to be creative. Keep practising your signature style until you realise that the way you draw/paint makes you happy and proud. It does take some time to find your unique style, and it will take years to develop it. But it will be worth it in the end.
