I’m a petite girl in height, but what I lack in centimetres there I certainly make up for them round the hips. I find it tremendously difficult to dress for my shape, big bust, tiny waist and wide hips, plus my bodies decision to be vertically challenged – where is my middle ground? Slowly, but surely I’m starting to realise what looks good on my body. I need to try and steer clear of overly baggy outfits that don’t drown me. I know stripes work well with my physique too but there’s only so much Breton that can be in one girls life! With it now being summer it’s also time to inject some colour in to my life too…

You will have seen this gorgeous tan, leather (but almost suede effect) jacket in my previous post here and it is fast becoming my go-to jacket during these cool but bright summer days. I don’t seem to want to take it off and wear it for every occasion.

Red is a bright colour for me, it’s not something I usually turn to in the style stakes. I vowed last year that I needed to introduce more monochrome outfits and I took that a little crazy and nearly everything I now own comes in hues of cream, white, grey and black. So, I need to reverse those wheels and step back and maybe not take my pact too seriously. So I started by adding this gorgeous halter neck style chiffon top and I hope you will agree it looks great with these jeans and loafer style shoes. Despite it’s bright appearance I didn’t think it was too garish either. I think it’s pretty slimming too, tucked in with a chunky belt.

I’m really enjoying blogging at the moment. I feel like after four years of doing this, doors are opening to some wonderful and exciting experiences that just would not happen if I didn’t have this little space on the web. Yesterday I had the pleasure of heading to BooHoo.com studios for their #WeAreFit x #ThisGirlCan campaign & I just can’t wait to bring you my blog post about the day. Other things are coming up in the pipeline and it makes me so thankful that my hobby is bringing me brilliant prospects. I’ll never be your top blogger out there, but I feel that I have a warmth and unpolished personality within my blog that makes it a little raw compared to others out there. Hey, I still use a bridge camera for my photos for Christ sake. I say, work hard & play harder!

My message in this post is to be thankful. Thankful for every opportunity or moment that you are given. Live in the now and embrace whatever is thrown your way because either good or bad, you’ll look back at it and it will define your character and who you are. My confidence is coming along in bucket loads and I feel it within me, it’s like it’s projecting out of me, even radiating out of me. I don’t have to make excuses for my blog now, or try and explain it to someone who doesn’t get it. I’m proud of what it is! No more hiding it from people, I need to let those close to me in, they are helping me with my photos and it’s so nice to be able to do that. Share the wonderful experiences with those I love the most. I think red is the colour for confidence, and boy am I working on that!

I hope that as time goes on it just get’s better and better. I hope you’ll stay with me for the ride…
