Blogs that I loved in 2015 | QueenBeady

December 29, 2015

VondelPark Love Locks

This post is not just about blogs that I loved in 2015, but probably blogs that I will love until well, forever. Their content is always so engaging that I want to come back for more but all for different reasons. So get settled with a cuppa and a few biccies, some you might already know. Others, you may not and might want to start reading. Like NOW!

1. SophieCliff.com

Sophie Cliff

There is no way I couldn’t include Sophie in my blog round up. This girl 100% my blogging bestie. I’d probably go as far as saying a friend that I could go to for things away from the blogging world. She’s always been a huge encourager of mine and I can’t thank her enough for being that person who will comment on my least commented blog post. It’s not just those wonderful, positive qualities she has to see the good in anything bad, she has a brilliant blog and she is the reason that I booked a trip to Oslo for my husbands Christmas present. I’m so glad she is in my life because you always need a gal that is a “half full cup” kinda person!

2. AForteForFashion

Laura A Forte for Fashion

Laura, Laura, Laura. We are the girls sat on a table howling at life. I mean, this girl lives and breathes pretty much everything I’m thinking too. She is HILARIOUS. Working for a fashion company she is super clued up about where it’s at in the style stakes. Her fashion posts are edgy but so achievable and that is why I love them, accessible and fun are two words that spring to mind! She’s bad ass and quite frankly, you need a Laura in your life.

3. PaigeJoanna

Paige Joanna

This one is probably going to sound VERY fan-girly. When I started blogging in 2010 there was a little magazine called Company and it introduced me to all these wonderful blogs, Paige’s being one of them. I loved her style, her red hair and all her posts. So, when I finally got to meet her back in June for a Boohoo campaign I couldn’t believe that I was getting to spend time with her. And luck would have it, we really got on. Her posts have moved on slightly from just predominantly fashion but to Lifestyle and Crafting too. I love the diversity and everything is always super vintage/pretty.

4. Right Up My Street

RightUpMyStreet Blog

Bekki is one of the cutest blogs I first ever came across, in fact, it was her who spurred me on (in my own little head) to do more fashion orientated posts because I just thought “how cool is she?” I’ve always kept up with Bekki’s blog and we always natter on Twitter. Despite having never met I immediately felt a great friendship forming between us. She’s a really great gal with an impeccable sense of style that is just so accessible for everyone.

5. Big Fashionista

Big Fashionista

Moving slightly away from Fashion but to a more “discussion based” blog, I couldn’t not include Kellie. She’s like the funny and caring Mum everyone would have loved. She gives it to you straight and there is no messing with it. But, you need someone in your life like that and my god am I glad she’s in mine. She constantly makes me laugh with her witty posts and really gets me thinking about things that sadly, I probably wouldn’t ever think about. She has a heart of gold and is always wanting to help someone. One tough cookie but oh so gooey in the centre. Yes Kellie, I just described you as a chocolate biscuit.

6. Collecting Labels

Collecting Labels

This girl has one big smile and an even bigger heart. She has become so supportive on my blog, and I think the feeling is mutual back. I love Laura’s mix of Travel, Fashion & Lifestyle posts. Probably because they are topics that I mainly write about too, it’s nice to get a perspective of things from someone else though. I love her sense of style because it’s not run of the mill, high street fashion. She mixes and matches and it’s so great to see that!

7. The Briar Rose Blog

Briar Rose Blog

Megan was also another find via Company Magazine. I was totally in awe with her pastel style and divine outlook on life. Despite her being noticeably absent through the latter part of 2015 her blog took a slightly different direction from Fashion and she started blogging about Disney Cosplay. Now whilst it wasn’t something I was interested in, it was great to see someone pursuing their hobby and dreams. It was like a little bit of escapism for me to go to as well. Whilst there haven’t been many posts since October I wish nothing but the best for Megan because her blog is one of the main reasons I continued my blog and strived harder!

8. Shot From The Street

shot from the street blog

You know when you just look at someone’s sense of style & blog and think to yourself, “can I just be you?” that is what Lizzy makes me question every day. She is a minimalist dream, everything she drapes over her body looks so bad-ass like you wouldn’t believe. She’d wear a in bag and somehow rock it. Having met Lizzy quite a few times IRL we always manage to have a little giggle! She’s really down to earth and despite her blog being very “profesh” she is such a sweetheart!

9. Britton Loves

Britton Loves

Everyone needs a Lauren in their life. I’ve never seen so much enthusiasm come out of one little person and by goodness is it something that needs to be spread around. I love reading her blog for great photography tips and giving yourself a little bit of self-love from time to time. Her Vlogs are always so fun to watch because she’s just so happy to be herself. She’s a little ball of light and I hope that never changes. We’ve never met but I bet we’d get on like a house on fire!

10. Phases of Robyn

Phases of Robyn

Robyn’s blog is another personal style blog that I love. After all, fashion is my main point of interest. Her outfits always look so great and she mixes high street with independent boutiques which is super cool. Her Instagram feed is always “goals” and I’d love to be able to do the whole black and white theme on a constant basis. Girl, you give blog/insta envy all day long! She’s super witty too providing lots of LOLs in this post girl, more posts like this please! Ps. Can I borrow that camel coat, ha!

So, there you have it. My round up of some of the blogs that have kept me coming back for more each time. The mixture of blogs I read span over so many topics but as you can see Travel & Fashion tend to be my go-to reads. I’d love to find some more great blogs to read in 2016 so please leave me your comments and thoughts below – I hope you have found some new favourite reads too.

I’d like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year!
