I spend 85% of my time scouring clothing store apps. I am an absolute sucker for window shopping, so when payday rolled round I decided it was time to treat myself to some new wears for Autumn. First stop was Boohoo, after I’d been part of their #ThisGirlCan campaign, I decided I wanted to ”shop the ad” for this one and ending up falling head over heels in love with both the striped turtle neck and blue cord pinafore. Both of which are so, me. I needed something nice to wear for my trip to Betty’s and decided that I was going to order these first class so I could try them out straight away!

It was a pretty foggy morning before we headed off to Betty’s so whilst I rummaged round deciding which coat to wear, my short length suede jacket or my big fluffy coat? After deliberating James helped out and adamantly decided that the big fluffy coat went with the outfit a lot better. Thank god for husband’s ey? Again, as it was especially cooler that day I paired it with some black tights – it’s the first time they’ve had an outing this year. It’s time I started to accept that it is Autumn now.

I feel like this style is still channeling the 70’s vibe. I loved the slogan tee’s and A-line denim skirts this summer so wanted to make an Autumn wardrobe that still had that playful side to it and thought that the dress did exactly that plus I love the handy little pockets too. And hey, I kinda love stripes (as most of you know) but whilst I tend to go for the black and white Breton it was definitely time to introduce a pop of colour to my striped garments and this roll neck does the trick. I love that the sleeves are short as I have a tendency to over heat and get super warm, it’s great for keeping my neck nice and toasty but it still leaves me with room for movement and a lighter option just in case the day decides to turn a little warmer. Boohoo’s latest collections for AW15 are just killing it at the moment and I know that next time my bonus rolls in I’m going to be making a lot more use of their shiny, brand new app and their £1.99 next day delivery!

As I write this I’m actually scoffing on a box of Betty’s macaroons. I’m drowning my sorrows over the fact we missed out on Glastonbury tickets. After booking the time off, applying for registration and getting to the final payment stage, an error page loaded and boom, all the tickets had sold out. We were so ridiculously close to getting them and I’m feeling a little sorry for myself. I guess I’m just gonna have to do a bit more window shopping to compensate or better yet, book another holiday?

Do you like this 70’s inspired outfit? Have you bought anything from Boohoo’s new app yet? I’d love to know what you think!
