I feel like my style posts have been slipping off the radar recently. It’s not because I don’t want to do them anymore it’s just I feel like I have lots to say at the moment and each little bit of word vomit that’s circulating around my head is fighting for some airing space. I’ll go through fits and starts. I can pinpoint moments where there’s been a flurry of style posts every other day – I don’t know what it is that inspires me most when I’m posting them. Is it the current trends? The fact my bank account has taken an ASOS hammering? I’m not quite sure.
Those who know me (and my husband can vouch for this!) that 90% of my wardrobe is ASOS. I’ll spend hours on a night flicking through the latest collections. When I was sent a £50 ASOS gift voucher I was spoilt for choice. The “Prairie” Section is my favourite collection at the moment, imagine folksy prints, ornate embroidery and summer vibes all rolled in to one. I’ve been dying for a high neck white top (y’know, the Alexa Chung for M&S Archive style, cos’ who doesn’t want that rn?) so as soon as I saw this floaty number I knew I had “found the one.”
I wore it to #BlogAtTheBeach with icelolly.com on Saturday and the comments about it were so lovely. But it is just one of those garments that just make you go all googly-eyed. Lucy is the fantastic photographer behind these photos and she makes it look so easy to snap and shoot especially when I get so nervous doing my various stances in the middle of the street, plus she’s so super easy to be around that getting my “pose on” feels a lot more natural. I just love how other Bloggers get it? The desire to take photo’s in the street. You suddenly see something insta-worthy so you must grind to a halt, whip that phone out and grab a shot. I feel like I’m with my own kind! Have I finally found my tribe?
What have you been lusting over on ASOS recently? Their new Gift Cards make present buying so much easier now, I can already count on my fingers & toes who will be getting one for Christmas this year!
